AGILITY

Agility Preparation  

This class is the foundation for your agility career.  We focus primarily on what is termed “groundwork”, which does not emphasize the equipment but the behaviors necessary before you and your dog are introduced to equipment.  Agility preparation is not all work and no play, however!  We introduce you and your dog to the jump chute, a tool used to help your dog become a “thinking” jumper, and to the beginning stages of weave pole training. 

This level consists of two eight-week sessions.

Agility Foundations

In Agility Foundations we introduce the dogs to and begin teaching the proper execution of the agility equipment.  We also begin teaching the fundamentals of jumping and continue to advance our weave pole training.  Skills begun in Agility Preparation are fine-tuned and completed.
